About us
MeliCon was founded in 2001 with the focus on the engineering and production of metallic lightweight components.
In the following years, the development of two innovative product lines: MeliFil metal fibre fleece“ and “MeliPlate wire mesh laminate”, opened the way to new important markets.
Basing on the MeliPlate we developed the product line SilentMetal, which was awarded the 1st prize of the Airtec Awards 2006 in Frankfurt as the most innovative product.
After supply the single sound absorbing product with the necessary stiffness, the product line SilentStructure was born – and introduced to the public on the “Path of Innovation” at ILA 2008 in Berlin.

SilentMetal
MeliFil
MeliDiff
MeliDiff® is a specially developed metallic expanded metal laminate for use in PEM or alkaline electrolysis systems.
The purely metallic MeliDiff® gas diffusion layers and the proton-conducting membrane (PEM) are the main component of the PEM water electrolysis.
This all means that the customer receives GDL components that can be adapted right to his needs, including the geometric conditions which can be fulfilled very precisely by laser cutting, up to dimensions of 1000 x 1000 mm.
MeliFil
MeliFil – A new filtration material for hot-gas filtration
Fabric filters have been established for years for the removal of dust from industrial plants, but they have problems when the filtered gas is hot and/or contains flammable particles.
These problems are solved by the new hot gas filtration materials MeliPlate/MeliFil, which reach a maximum temperature of 600°C and are resistant to combustible particles as they are made of pure metal fibres.
SilentMetal
SilentMetal is a new metallic wire mesh laminate and developed especially for sound absorption applications. It shows its unique and outstanding performance to damp the sound waves efficiently. For the connection ot the different wire mesh layers, a new welding process was developed and established. Depending on the material of the wire mesh, the constant working temperature can be elevted up to 800 °C (1300°F).
